WHAT WE SEE IN THE IN THE MEDIA ARE DESPERATE CALLS FOR PEACE



There is nothing so paining to be boggled down with the wringing hands and desperate frustrated voices calling out for peace. Ears wringing with paining resignation, what comes quickly to someone’s mind is to throw caution to the wind and bang the hell out of those breathing peace. Indeed PEACE IS WANTED ALIVE, but the noise that calls for this inanimate feature is so intense that I have a feeling that before long, we shall have total disarray.
Elections are emotional in Kenya and the atmosphere that surrounds them is so intense that what we need is calm after a storm. Therefore whatever is needed at this point in time is not the appeal for peace but, the calmness that follow a major heartbreak. We need not to implant sense where emotions ride high. At this point in time SILENCE IS WANTED ALIVE.
Appeal therefore goes out to those talking inherently about peace to JUST SHUT UP! To shut I reckon will not just re-instate the country into the pedestal it once was but also bring understanding to those who feel that their rights were violated.

VIHIGA COUNTY- THE ECONOMY, IN FOCUS: MUDETE TEA FACTORY, A WATER DOWN OR ???

         Mudete Tea Factory is located in Vihiga county of Western Kenya. The factory Is to serve the Tea rich Western Kenya especially Vihiga county which receives an annual rainfall of about 1500mm to 2000mm. The factory established in the mid 1990s has seen a fair share of progress but has remained a dimunitive figure in the progress of the county. One could argue that maybe it is due to the fact that the tea farmers within the region are much less reluctant in upping their game to produce higher and quality tea for the factory. NEGATIVE CULTURAL PRACTICES AMONG THE PEOPLE OF NASILA IN BLOSSOMS OF THE SAVANNAH

The book Blossoms of the Savannah explores both the positive and negative cultural practices. H. R Kulet describes intimately those cultural practices he believes are best and on the other hand, lets us in on some of the cultural practices he believe were injurious. Interestingly, the negative cultural practices are aimed at women. The most poignant cultural practice that negatively affects women is Female genital mutilation.
